Quotes for the day - Life

Happy Thursday Bloggies!

Today's post is short and sweet. I really wanted to share some words of inspiration with you all that will help you push on in life, no matter what is thrown your way. Everyone struggles at some point in their lives (or everyday!) and sometimes you need a hand to help you get up off the ground and dust yourself off. Sometimes you even need tough love! I love quotations as they really "speak" to me and help me get my thoughts out of the negative ditch and back onto my path. I know a quote may not be enough to help you with all you are dealing with, but, if even for a second, you can have some peace or contimplate good change, I think it's worth it.

I know God will not give anything I can't handle. I just wish that he didn't trust me so much ~Mother Teresa

NOTE: I'm not pushing religion here. You can apply this quote to whatever religion you want..or none at all. Also, I don't think we need to argue how special and AMAZING Mother Teresa's work was. Trusting in ourselves is so important and its a huge struggle for so many people, including myself, and apparently even the sweetheart, Mother Teresa. See, even powerful people have struggles. You are NEVER alone!

You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you ~ Walt Disney

Change is NEVER easy and sometimes if we procrastinate for too long, a little boot is exactly what we need to get moving again! This was me and is still me in certain situations!

I have been wildly, disparingly, acutely miserable, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just being alive is a grand thing ~ Agatha Christie

I think about people in other countries who haven't eaten in days or live in mud shacks or suffer from unbearable diseases, and I realize I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I used to complain a lot about life, but now I think to myself : have you eaten today? yes! Have you had clean water today? yes! Do you have shelter? yes! Are you loved? YES! This brings me off my high horse and I become thankful for my life. Sometimes this process brings me to tears because I had taken for granted all the luxuries that I have in my life.

That's my food for thought today! And remember I think you are all wonderful and are doing fabulous things in your life. Trust in yourself!!!

you're an angel on earth...hope you know that...

when life gets a bit much, which seems to be a lot lately, i always think...i am so lucky to be alive...i am lucky to live through each day, even with all of its trials and tribulations...and i know in my heart, that everything happens for a reason...i don't think there are coincidences...and once we get through all the hurdles the light at the end of the tunnel will be so worth it...

thank you for putting things into perspective for me...i need a bit of a slap in the face...

have a beautiful day, my beautiful girl!

Hi Nelly - You are too kind, lovely! I need to keep reminding myself of that saying too..."everything happens for a reason" It helps to make sense out of lifes little curve balls! I'm glad I could help with some perspective..love helping people..yay!

Hey Kelly - Again, you are SO sweet! I fail at trusting myself DAILY..its very hard to do for me because I always have been one to analyze things for way too long!
Thanks for all the love!! The garden babies are becoming toddlers..he he!

Hey Aletheia - Thank YOU for your wisdom! I need to be brave more often. It's kind of like jumping off the high board at the pool. The first time you nearly crap your pants but then you do it again and it becomes easier..and fun!

Hey Nuttellacube - You are truly welcome for the reminder..glad to help:)

Heidi - We must be on the same wavelength..wahoo! ha ha!I'm so glad I found another quote-lover!! You are so welcome H!!!

Thank you so much for sharing these, Melissa. They are very inspirational, and actually quite helpful to me right now.

Coincidentally, the Agatha Christie quote is one that I posted on my blog not long ago. It really makes me think of all the times when I feel hopeless and in despair and I remember that I got through all of it, and I am alive. And I should be happy and grateful to be alive and to live in a beautiful world with beautiful people.

As for the Mother Teresa quote, I love it. I'm not religious, but I take it to mean this: We are stronger than we think, we are stronger than we ever know. There are certain things that have happened in my life, and if you had told me that they were going to happen beforehand I would never have believed I could get through them. But I did. And I've seen other people, much stronger people than me, doubt themselves and then go on to overcome so much.

Thanks for your words of wisdom! You are a beautiful person. xo

Love this post. These days I count my blessings many times a day. It hasn't always been this way. I used to be a complainer, too. But, like you, I now feel blessed to have so many luxuries and choices and freedoms that others do not. Got a little misty-eyed reading this one. Thanks for a good reminder :) xoxo
